Welcome to Whitstable.

A beautiful seaside town famous for its working harbour, picturesque scenery, and spectacular coffee shops and eateries.

Colourful, independent, and only an hour’s drive from London, Whitstable in Kent is brimming with beautiful views, world famous seafood and narrow alleyways begging to be explored.

No place demonstrates Whitstable’s quirky nature more than Harbour Street, a winding array of shops, cafés, and restaurants.

“No visit to Whitstable is complete without a trip down the harbour to the beach.”

The town is broken up by curiously named alleyways, like Squeezegut Alley, with hidden gems waiting to be discovered by anyone who ventures down them.

A nod to Whitstable’s smuggling history, most of these alleyways lead directly to the sea, serving as a great shortcut whenever you want to make your way to the beautiful coast, grab yourself some oysters or just walk along the front.

The high street has resisted the ‘beige’ appearance of most towns, and is home to a huge variety of independent shops, artisan coffee shops, Michelin starred resturants, art galleries and boutiques.

It’s the sort of place you’ll always wish you’d discovered sooner. And somewhere you can’t help but return to; again and again.
